Copper has once again become a key trend. Fashions change and after years of the cooler look of stainless steel and chrome we are warming things up once again – and we love it!
What is copper? The dictionary definition reads ‘ Copper is a chemical element with symbol Cu and atomic number 29. It is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity.’
I recently heard that 89% of all the copper dug out of the ground is still in circulation and we certainly have a few beautiful examples of this in our stock…
Copper items are selling fast and it’s no surprise as it offer eye-catching warmth and richness. Then there’s old unpolished copper which has the green Verdigris patina with its unique appearance which boasts age and history. It really would be a crime to clean and polish that away!
