An original Francis Naval search light which has been completely stripped and the brass polished. All Mechanisms such as the turning wheel are working as they would have done originally which gives it great flexibility.
The lamp has a year date of 1914 stamped on the tube which would have sat internally in the ship.
Rewired with black silk flex with an earth connected to the case of the search light.
During stripping and cleaning I removed the concave mirror which has wonderful cloudy foxing to it.
Size – diameter of searchlight 23cm. Depth of searchlight 26cm. Height 120cm.
Matched to a chunky WWII tripod which is clearly marked with military crows foot and date stamp 1940.
