Tripod Lamps are still very popular and are more than just a lamp – they are a decorative feature guaranteed to add interest to any room.
This lamp is quite unique. The base is an adjustable WWII tripod which could have been used for a variety of purposes. It has the original identification number marked on the side. The tripod is well constructed with brass fittings and was found in a barn in Southend on Sea. Beneath the dirt and dust it was in great condition and just needed a light coat of wax polish.
The lamp is made by Raydyot who manufactured a wide variety of lamps for motor vehicles, motor cycles and boats. The case is made of brass which has been lightly polished. The angle is adjustable as you would expect. There are signs of wear and tear and some small dinks which are all part of the patina of this vintage piece.
The lamp has been rewired with a generous length of antique style dark brown braided flex has been used. Ready to be plugged in and enjoyed. PAT tested independently prior to despatch.
