WAS Benson Table Lamp – Heart Shaped Base
A tall example of the heart shaped table lamp with a fishing rod arm. This table lamp dates back to the early 20th century and is beautifully designed by the eminent Arts and Crafts lighting designer William Benson. Fitted with an operation Benson stem switch. The top of the stem is fitted with an articulated bracket to allow the shade to be angled.
Fitted with a striped vaseline glass shade which dates back to the same period. Glass is in good condition, no chips or cracks.
A fabulous Arts and Crafts original lamp. Made from brass, a sympathetic restoration has retained the mellow patina to the brass and ensures that this antique lamp is all original and ready to be enjoyed and admired for decades to come.
Size 39cm high. Base measures 29cm x 15cm. Weight 1.1kg
Wired with approximately 2 metres of antique twisted flex – colour Nugget. Fitted with a B22 bulb holder. PAT tested prior to dispatch.
