Large Copper French WWI Trench Sprayer – Eclair Vermorel

First World War period British ‘Vermorel’ sprayer used to neutralise trenches and dugouts which had been contaminated with chlorine gas. Equipment based on the pre-war ‘Vermorel Knapsack Sprayers’ designed for spraying fruit trees, flowers and vegetables.

Great historical piece and a wonderful decorative item with fabulous patina to the copper surface.

Removable lid and maker’s mark clearly displayed on the front.

Item has been waxed to give a nice shine.

Size. 45cm high.  36cm wide.  19cm deep. weight 5.9kg
