Description

‘Harvey’ Art Deco White Glass School House Light

This light fitting dates back to the Art Deco era.

A large shade in a bold shape fitted with  a nicely detailed aged brass gallery.

This style of light is often called a chapel light or a school house light and is typical of the Art Deco period.

The opaque quality of the layer glass gives off a wonderful even glow when lit yet is still eye-catching when the light is switched off.

White glass lighting from the early 20th century never dates and looks equally stylish in a period home or a modern setting.

Opaline white glass became very popular during the Art Deco period and was produced in many different shapes and styles.  Geometric designs and simple shapes were typical of the Art Deco  period.

To personalise our white glass lighting we give them individual names.  This one has been named ‘HARVEY’.

Wired with 1 metre of dark brown fabric twisted cable.   Other colours are available on request.

Suspension chain and hooked ceiling plate supplied.

Size – Overall height 38cm.  Diameter of shade 28cm.  Weight 2kg
