Large Art Deco White Opaline Glass Pendant Light
This style of light is often called a chapel light or a school house light and is typical of the Art Deco period.
White glass lighting from the early 20th century never dates and looks equally stylish in a period home or a modern setting.
Topped with a tall bell shaped brass gallery. This is made of solid brass which has been allowed to naturally age which gives it a dark patina.
White opaline glass is opaque and emits a wonderful even glow when lit yet is still eye-catching when the light is off. Opaline white glass became very popular during the Art Deco period and was produced in many different shapes and styles.
Size – Diameter of shade 30cm. Overall height from bottom of glass shade to top of gallery hook 30cm. Weight 1.4 kg.
Wired with 1 metre of dark brown braided cable. Supplied with suspension chain and a hooked ceiling plate.
Lights are rewired using a new B22 bayonet fitting and will be independently PAT tested prior to dispatch.
Please allow 5 days for dispatch.
This light will be wired to order with a new B22 bulb holder and PAT tested prior to dispatch.
Please note that vintage lighting may have some age related scratches and marks or slight manufacturing flaws.
