WAS Benson Wall Sconce
A highly decorative copper wall sconce which holds two candles. A broad leaf shaped copper back plate is decorated with acanthus leaves and floral repouse work. The centre support and candlesticks are made of brass.
WAS Benson designed and manufactured some of the highest quality lighting during the arts and crafts movements at the start of the 20th century. His lighting is highly collectible and examples can be seen in the London V&A museum and at Standen House in East Sussex.
