We have always respected the importance of our customer’s privacy. With the recent introduction of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations), We have updated our privacy policy to reassure both our past and future customers.

When you browse our site, we do not collect personal information about you. The only way we receive any kind of personal information (such as name, address, email address, telephone number) is if you place an order via our online shop or ask us for a shipping quote. We do not share or sell this information to other parties. The only exception to this will be if we are using a third party to ship an item and we will always ask your permission before we share your address and telephone number with this agent.

Credit and debit card payments made through our online shop are via Paypal and we do not store any card information.

Ashby Lighting also uses ‘cookies’ on our web site to collect information about your use of the website. Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to temporarily store information within your browser, which in turn allows us to recognise the computer used to access antiquesireland.ie. Most browsers automatically accept cookies but you can delete existing cookies from your browser. You can also edit your browser options to choose not to receive cookies in future. We may also collect information about your visit to our website, based on your browsing (click stream) activities. This information may include the pages you browse and products and services viewed or booked for example. This helps us to better manage and develop our offers and to provide you with better products and services tailored to your individual interests and needs. We may use this information to measure the entry and exit points of visitors to the web site and respective numbers of visitors to various pages and sections of the web site and details of searches performed. We will provide a summary of any personal information held upon request. This information will only be sent to the e-mail address on file for the subscriber name associated with it. We recently implemented the SSL Certificate on our website (the Green Padlock you see in the browser box) which gives secure encryption to our site.

We occasionally send our customers email information regarding new stock and other information which we feel is of interest to them. This email always offers an unsubscribe option.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data
